Workbook Tools gives Claude a bounded way to inspect, profile, compare, and query authorized Loam tables imported from Excel workbooks.

Use this exact resource only after production provisioning and verification are complete. Choosing a workbook in the anonymous browser tool does not upload it or make it available to Claude.

Read-only tool surface

The closed surface lists and describes governed datasets, profiles selected columns, compares imported tables, provides the supported SQL reference, validates read intent, and executes bounded read-only SQL. It cannot upload files, edit or save a workbook, mutate rows, or create cleaned views.

Not Microsoft Excel control

Workbook Tools works with governed tables imported to Loam. It does not connect to, automate, or control the Microsoft Excel application, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, or files that have not been explicitly imported.

Identity and status

Workbook Tools is operated by Ship It! Software Limited and powered by Loam for accounts, authorization, governed storage, and execution. Its MCP has its own exact OAuth audience, consent identity, support path, and allowlist.
